The subtropical ridge is covering southeastern China. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the coast of Guangdong.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly fine apart from isolated showers. The minimum temperature will be about 29 degrees tomorrow morning. Very hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate east to southeasterly winds.

Outlook : Still very hot in the following couple of days. The maximum temperatures over parts of the New Territories will reach 35 degrees or above on Friday. More showers during the weekend to early next week.

9-Day Weather Forecast

The subtropical ridge will bring generally fine and very hot weather to southeastern China in the next couple of days. Under the influence of a southwesterly airstream, there will be showers and thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong during the weekend to early next week. It will still be hot over the region. The subtropical ridge is expected to cover southeastern China again midweek next week.
